Clayton Hutchins LPC Associate provides therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples.

Clayton is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is passionate about helping clients learn to trust themselves, make healthy choices, and develop hands-on skills for making lasting changes in their lives.

Clayton believes in meeting clients where they are. He creates a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming environment for tackling problems. Clayton has experience working with individuals living with trauma, grief, and relationship challenges, and individuals living with social challenges like autism spectrum disorder. Clayton also enjoys working with athletes who are struggling with performace anxiety, injuries, grief after retiring from their sport and many other aspects of what it means to be an athlete.

Clayton strives to utilize an eclectic approach to counseling, combining many aspects of different approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual he meets. He tailors his techniques to In particular,

Clayton combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Mindfulness, and also utilizes an existential approach to promote introspection on values in one’s life. This renewed understanding allows clients to see themselves and make decisions about what is best in their lives. Clients who feel stuck have found that he can help them get past the blocks they are experiencing.

Clayton has been in a relationship with his girlfriend for over 2 years and is the father of 3 cats.

Clayton has always had a passion for helping people in need and upon discovering the counseling field, immediately dove in head first. He attributes his empathic qualities to his upbringing with his family and loved ones throughout his life. In his free time, Clayton enjoys learning Japanese, playing and cuddling with his cats, and playing video games.

Clayton has lived in the greater Houston area for the entirety of his life. He loves the blend of cultures within the Houston area, and strives to see more of the world in time to truly expose himself to what the world has to offer.
