Miscarriage - My Story
A red spot. Bright red. Like the bright red from a cycle starting. Why is that a big deal? I was seven weeks pregnant that Tuesday. I called the doctor and was connected to the nurse. She asked some questions. She didn’t say much other than they will look at it Thursday when I have my ultrasound and sometimes your body spots a little because it’s the regular time for a cycle. Probably doesn’t mean anything.
My Infertility Story
Did you know that a woman’s chance of getting pregnant each month is about 25% or less. At least that is what I remember the doctor telling me. It had been almost six months with no period when my OB/GYN said something like: “Yup, you are not ovulating. I’m going to send you across the hall to a specialist. Questions?”

I have been blogging for a while now. It started from a place of wanting to share information that could be helpful to people who may never walk into my office, as well as people I work with who need resources even when they are not in the therapy room. I love writing and wish I could do it more regularly, but I honestly can't keep up with it, so I decided to make some changes and try vlogging instead.

Letting go of bitterness : Lessons from Maya Angelou
The great Dr. Maya Angelou passed away recently. Though her passing is a loss to all of us, I am thankful we have such a large body of written work and interviews so that we can glean from her life experiences, her mistakes, and her wisdom. Dr. Angelou speaks with a fluid elegance and authority that makes people stop and listen. It was riveting to watch her interview with Dave Chappelle from the Sundance show Iconoclasts.
